Volunteers
Volunteers are the lifeblood of invasive species management. From hand-pulling garlic mustard to helping remove water chestnut from our delicate waterbodies, volunteers are invaluable. Opportunities for volunteers to give back to the community while helping the environment abound and include: providing information at tabling events within the Finger Lakes, mechanically harvesting inasives such as water chestnut and common reed, and surveying for invasives in your own backyard. Contact the PRISM coordinator for information about volunteering or check the calendar of events for dates and locations of programs. Registration may be required.
