Caleb Truscott

Caleb Truscott is the Biology Coordinator for the Watercraft Steward Program. He works with data collected by the watercraft stewards to improve the accuracy and utility of the dataset. Additionally, Caleb works to strengthen the Watercraft Steward’s aquatic invasive species identification skills. As a coordinator, he helps manage the day-to-day operations of the watercraft steward program under the guidance of the AIS Program Manager. In the offseason, Caleb works in R programming, creating apps, wrangling data, generating figures, and planning for the upcoming season program.

Caleb earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with a concentration in ecology and evolution from Georgia State University’s Honors College in 2020. While in school, he studied the behavior of capuchin monkeys, fish, and humans. He developed a passion for education, outreach, and protecting the natural world. He continues to look forward to many days in the sun (and many in the snow) contributing to the protection of the beautiful Finger Lake region.
