Kate Monacelli is the project manager for an EPA GLRI-funded water chestnut control project at the Finger Lakes Institute (FLI) at Hobart & William Smith Colleges. Prior to working at FLI, she worked for an environmental consulting firm where she provided field and technical writing skills to assist in wetland delineations, restoration project site oversight, and project reporting. Kate has a MS degree from The College at Brockport, State University of New York focusing on wetland ecology, specifically Water Chestnut: Field Observations, Competition, and Seed Germination and Viability in Lake Ontario Coastal Wetlands and worked on the GLRI coastal wetlands project monitoring collecting aquatic macroinvertebrate, water quality, and plant data.
